Banshee 2.1.4 has been released! Banshee 2.1.4 is part of the 2.1 development series leading up to 2.2, which is scheduled to be released on September 21st. You can upgrade Banshee using the banshee daily builds ppa.
To upgrade Banshee open a termninal window (press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy+paste the following two lines:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:banshee-team/banshee-daily
sudo apt-get update
When the ppa is added close the terminal window and run a system update. To start Banshee press Alt+F2 and type: banshee
