Install Gnome Color Chooser On Ubuntu 10.10 “Maverick Meerkat”

On my search for an GTK theme editor i found this application that changes your theme. It can change the global colors, buttons, panel, desktop, icons, gtk engines and some specific settings. You can also choose the GTK engine you want to use. When you are done you can click on the Apply button so the changes will be used or you can export your theme and share it with your friends.

GNOME Color Chooser is a GTK+/GNOME desktop appearance customization tool, but is not limited to the GNOME desktop. Unlike applications like Murrine Configurator, this utility does not modify your original themes. This way you can keep sharing your themes without any license or naming conflicts.
