Here is a guide to install the Foobnix player on Ubuntu 11.10. Foobnix is a lightweight gtk music player. You can install Foobnix using the ppa for Foobnix by Ivan Ivanenko (one of the Foobnix developers).
To install the Foobnix player open a terminal window (press SuperKey and type: terminal) and copy+paste the following lines:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:foobnix-player/foobnix
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install foobnix
To start Foobnix press the SuperKey and type: foobnix
