Banshee 2.2 has been released! Banshee 2.2 is the culmination of six months’ work by 35 developers, 38 translators and dozens of bug reporters and testers. It is a stable release, the successor to Banshee 2.0. It has some exciting new features and lots of polish! Read the release notes for more info.
To upgrade Banshee using the banshee-team ppa:
Open a terminal window (press SuperKey and type: terminal) and copy+paste the following lines:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:banshee-team/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
To upgrade Banshee using the daily builds ppa:
Open a terminal window (press SuperKey and type: terminal) and copy+paste the following lines:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:banshee-team/banshee-daily
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
You can upgrade Banshee using the daily builds ppa or using the banshee-team ppa. The daily ppa will updgrade Banshee when a new version or a bug fix is released. Or if you only like to use stable releases you can use the banshee team ppa.
