Ubuntu Tweak is an application designed to config Ubuntu easier for everyone. It provides many useful desktop and system options that the default desktop environment doesn’t provide. At present, it’s only designed for the Ubuntu GNOME Desktop, and always follows the newest Ubuntu distribution. Read more about Ubuntu Tweak.
You can install Ubuntu Tweak by adding the Ubuntu Tweak Stable PPA.
To add the PPA and install Ubuntu Tweak open a terminal window (press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy+paste the following lines:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:tualatrix/ppa
sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install ubuntu-tweak
When Ubuntu Tweak is installed you can close the terminal window and to start Ubuntu Tweak press the SuperKey and type: ubuntu tweak.
This whole UI change is bloody ugly and I hope they change it back. it doesnt work; unless its to make it more n00b friendly.. And janitor? thats what bleachbit is for for crying out loud!..
Also, adding that repository (today) gives a 404 🙁
It does look ugly indeed, i never use Ubuntu Tweak for tweaking my system. I prefer to make the changes myself but for those without the needed skills Ubuntu Tweak is the best application to use.
