Here is a guide to install zRam-swap enabler on Ubuntu 12.04. I’ve been using this for some time but never mentioned it on n00bs on Ubuntu. I found the original article on web upd8. You can use zRam-swap enabler to speed up your system. You can install zRam-swap enabler by adding the Sergey “Shnatsel” Davidoff.
To add the PPA and install zRam-swap enabler open a terminal window (press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy+paste the following command lines:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:shnatsel/zram
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install zramswap-enabler
When zRam-swap enabler is installed you can close the terminal window and restart your system.

Muy buen articulo, yo lo hago en la instalación y le agrego 10 Gygas a la swap de intercambio, los equipos viejos vuelan.
It works great on older machines 🙂
