To install Amarok 2.4 open a Terminal window (Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal) and copy+paste the following lines:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:kubuntu-ppa/backports
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install amarok
When installed you can find Amarok under Applications -> Sound & Video -> Amarok.
