Avant Window Navigator (AWN/Awn) is a dock-like navigation bar for the linux desktop that positions itself at the bottom of the screen. It can be used to keep track of open windows and behaves like a normal window list.
To install Avant Window Navigator open the Ubuntu Software Center (Applications -> Ubuntu Software Center) and search for awn. Select the search result and click on the Install button, enter your password and when installed you can close the Ubuntu Software Center. You don’t have to install Awn Settings because it’s part of the Avant Window Navigator and will be installed when installing Avant Window Navigator. To start Avant Window Navigator go to Applications -> Accessories and click on Avant Window Navigator.
