Warzone 2100 can be installed in 2 ways the easiest one is installing it from the Ubuntu Software Center. To install the game go to Applications and select the Ubuntu Software Center. Search for Warzone 2100 and click on the Install button.
Fill in your password and when installed you can find Warzone 2100 under Applications -> Games. The version of Warzone 2100 that comes with Ubuntu 10.10 is 2.3.4-1 if you want to install the latest version you can download it from the Warzone 2100 download page.

Any idea how to get Warzone 2100’s videos working when downloaded with Ubuntu Software Center? I know you have to download the file directly from http://wz2100.net/download , but can’t see what to do net … 🙁

I tried installing the game using the terminal lines but it didn’t work because the files that are missing are difficult to find. Same goes for installing from git…. 🙁
Hope to find some time later this week to download an install version 2.3.6. and will let you know how to install it .. 🙂
