Here is a script that will install VirtualBox, Wine and PlayOnLinux on Ubuntu 11.10.
Download the virtualbox-wine-PlayOnLinux-installer-11.10.tar.gz file and extract the content in your downloads folder. When extracted open a terminal window (press Ctrl+Alt+T) and make the script executable. To do this copy+paste the following line in the terminal window:
chmod +x Downloads/virtualbox-wine-PlayOnLinux-installer-11.10
And to run the script copy+paste the following line:
./Downloads/virtualbox-wine-PlayOnLinux-installer-11.10
Step 1
Adds VirtualBox to the repository and installs VirtualBox 4.1.
Step 2
Adds Wine to the repository and installs Wine 1.3
Adds PlayOnLinux to the repository and installs PlayOnLinux 4.0
