ScummVM is a `virtual machine’ for several classic graphical point-and-click adventure games.
Remember Simon the Sorcerer 1 and 2, Revolution’s Beneath A Steel Sky, and the Monkey Island series?
Games based on LucasArts’ SCUMM (Script Creation Utility for Maniac Mansion) system.
sudo apt-get install scummvm
Youll then find it in the Games menu in your Ubuntu Applications. If you run it you will not find much to do. So please have a little look around the ScummVM site for more info on the other games and data files.
And to get you started, try out the free-ware version of Flight of the Amazon queen, its a medium sized download from our usual suppository..
sudo apt-get install flight-of-the-amazon-queen
You will then find it in your games menu, it will automatically use ScummVM engine.
