This is a nice and easy2use program to acces your Compiz Config Settings Manager.
You can find the program in your Synaptic Package Manager (System -> Administration -> Synaptic Package Manager) search for simple-ccsm, mark for installation and click on apply.
To start Simple-ccsm: Right click on your desktop and select Change Desktop Background, select the Visual Effects tab. Click on the Custom button then click Preferences to change your Compiz settings.
