Script That Installs Faenza Icons, London Smoke GNOME-shell, Plastiq GTK3 Theme, GNOME Tweak Tool And More

Here is a script i made to install CCSM, the Faenza icons, London Smoke gnome-shell, Plastiq RC2 GTK3 theme, XScreenSaver, a script to use videos as a wallpaper, GNOME tweak tool and it will remove the white dots from the unity-greeter (login screen). After each step all the downloaded files will be removed to keep your system clean.

Download the theme-script-11.10.tar.gz file and extract the script into your Downloads folder. To make the file executable open a terminal window (press the SuperKey and type: terminal) copy+paste the following line:

chmod +x Downloads/theme-script-11.10

To run the script copy+paste the following line:

sudo ./Downloads/theme-script-11.10

Step 1
Installs then CompizConfig Settings Manager (ccsm) and the extra effects plugin.

Step 2
Adds the Tiheum PPA and installs the Faenza icons

Step 3
Installs the XScreensaver and removes the GNOME screensaver. After the installation the script will start XScreensaver and you will be asked to stop the GNOME screensaver and if you want to start the XScreensaver.. click twice on the OK button. To continue with the script close the XScreensaver window and the script will go to step 4. Don’t forget to create an autostart rule for XScreensaver. Press the SuperKey and type: startup applications and enter a name for the rule and copy+paste the following line in the command field:

xscreensaver -nosplash

Step 4
Install the Plastiq RC2 GTK3 Theme

Step 5
Installs the London Smoke GNOME-shell

Step 6
Installs the GNOME Tweak Tool (automatically install the GNOME-shell). To start the GNOME tweak tool press the SuperKey and type: advanced settings.

Step 7
Install a script to use videos as a wallpaper. To use the script click with your right mouse button on your desktop and select Scripts -> video-wallpaperscript. Click on the Yes button and browse to the location of the video file you want to use as wallpaper, select the file and click on the OK button.

Step 8
Will add the Scott Severance PPA and replace the unity-greeter for a version without the white dots.

If parts don’t work or you think some things can be added to my script… let me know and i will fix or add it to the script.
