xnoise is a media player for gtk+ xnoise is a media player with a slick GUI, great speed and lots of features. You can install Xnoise using the shkn ppa for Xnoise.
To add the ppa and install Xnoise open a terminal window (press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy+paste the following lines:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:shkn/xnoise
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install xnoise
To start Xnoise press Alt+F2 and type: xnoise
Unlike Rhythmbox, Banshee or itunes, Xnoise uses a tracklist centric design. The tracklist is a list of video or music tracks that are played one by one without being removed (right side of window).
