Here is a guide to install LAT (LDAP Administration Tool) On Ubuntu 11.10. LAT stands for LDAP Administration Tool. The tool allows you to browse LDAP-based directories and add/edit/delete entries contained within. It can store profiles for quick access to different servers. You can install LAT using the Ubuntu Software Center.


To install LAT open your software center (press the SuperKey and type software center). And search for ldap. Select the result and click on the Install button to install LAT. To read more about LAT click on the More Info button. When LAT is installed you can close the software center and to start LAT press the SuperKey and type: lat

There are also different views available such as Users, Groups and Hosts which allow you to easily manage objects without having to deal with the intricacies of LDAP.
