PlayDeb is an unofficial project with the mission to provide the latest open source and freeware games for the current Ubuntu Linux release, in an easy to install manner.
The PlayDeb repository extends the official repositories by providing latest versions and new games. Unlike the official packages, PlayDeb packages do not have a predefined release schedule – new game versions are provided as they become available from their authors.

Or configure the repository manually:
Go to System -> Administration -> Software Sources and select the Third-Party Software tab then add the following line:
deb http://archive.getdeb.net/ubuntu lucid-getdeb games
To add the repository GPG key, open a Terminal window (Applictions -> Accessories -> Terminal) and type:
wget -q -O- http://archive.getdeb.net/getdeb-archive.key | sudo apt-key add –
When PlayDeb is installed you can search for games on the PlayDeb Games page. To install a game simply click on the Install this now button and the game will be downloaded and installed. The installed game can be found under Applications -> Games.
