Install Gstyle Gnome Theme Manager On Ubuntu 10.10 “Maverick Meerkat”

Gstyle is an application that allows you to manage and customize all the aspects of Ubuntu from GRUB to the desktop. Gstyle can manage and install gtk themes, icons, wallpapers, window decoration and your GDM (and more!!).

All themes downloaded from gnome-look and deviantart can be installed with a few clicks. Gstyle itself provides full-pack themes downloading. To install Gstyle open a Terminal window (Applications -> Accessories -> Terminal) and copy+paste the following lines:

sudo apt-add-repository ppa:s-lagui
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install gstyle

When installed you can find Gstyle under System -> Preferences -> Gstyle.

I got this working and looks nice. I have noticed something funny though, I have installed/uninstalled ubuntu 11.04 a few times. and everytime I install it something doesn’t seem to work the same as the previous time, maybe it’s just weird, but I thought I shared my experience.
