Install Oxygen Mouse Cursor Theme On Ubuntu 10.10 “Maverick Meerkat”

Here is a guide/video that shows you how to install the Oxygen cursor theme.

To install the Oxygen mouse cursor theme open a Terminal window and copy+paste the following line:

sudo apt-get install oxygen-cursor-theme oxygen-cursor-theme-extra

When installed you can change the mouse cursor (pointer) by opening your Appearance Preferences manager (System -> Preferences -> Appearance) and select the Theme tab. Click on the Customize button and select the Pointer tab, scroll down a bit and you will find/see the Oxygen pointers. To use an Oxygen pointer just click on it and close the Appearance Preferences window.
