Wine 1.4 has been released some weeks ago and the PPA is finally updated with the Wine 1.4 packages.
The Wine team is proud to announce that the stable release Wine 1.4 is now available. Wine lets you run Windows software on other operating systems. With Wine, you can install and run these applications just like you would in Windows. You can install Wine using the Ubuntu Wine Team PPA.
To add the PPA and install Wine open a terminal window (press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy+paste the following lines:
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-wine/ppa
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install wine1.3
