Xnoise Media Player 0.2.17 Is Released

xnoise is a media player for gtk+ xnoise is a media player with a slick GUI, great speed and lots of features. But Unlike Rhythmbox, Banshee or iTunes, xnoise uses a tracklist centric design.


The tracklist is a list of video or music tracks that are played one by one without being removed. This gives you the possibility to enqueue any track in any order, regardless if they are on the same album or not.

You can install Xnoise by adding the shuerhaaken PPA to your system.

To add the PPA and install Xnoise open a terminal window (press Ctrl+Alt+T) and copy+paste the following lines:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:shkn/xnoise -y

sudo apt-get update && sudo apt-get install xnoise -y

When installed you can close the terminal window and to start Xnoise press click on the Dash Home button and type: xnoise
